Someone I would like to meet
Hello everyone today I’ll write about one
person who I admire and I would like to meet. This person is Demar DeRozan.
He is a basketball player of the San Antonio
Spurs, but until last season he played for Toronto Raptors (my favorite NBA
team).
He was born in Compton, California, in 1989;
and grew up in an environment infested of criminals; also he is affiliated with
the Compton Crips, a world famous gang, so, when he scores he usually makes the
“C” hand sign.
In high school, he became a promising
basketball talent; in 2008, at his senior year, he won the McDonald
All-American Slam Dunk Competition and the McDonald’s All-American, and
also he won the Moore League Championship with his team and the Moore League
MVP award. Then he chose to play with the NCAA team of the University of Southern
California, the USC Trojans, over other universities from Arizona and North
Carolina. In 2009, he decided to enter the 2009 NBA Draft as a prospect, where
he was selected 9th overall by the Raptors, team where he became
leader of the Canadian team and a NBA superstar, being a four-time NBA All-star
and leading his team to the playoffs five times in a row. But in 2018, he was
trade with Jakob Poetl to San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard and
Danny Green. He also was part of US National Team that won golden medals at
FIBA World Cup in 2014 and Rio Olympics in 2016.
He is one of my idols because he is
one of the greatest players in Raptors history, he also wanted to play his
whole career in Toronto, and he was part of the best campaigns of Raptors in
its NBA history since 1995. I really want to meet him to convince him to
rejoining Raptors and returns to his home, Toronto.

Hope you can say that to him, it would mean a lot to him.
